About

Lisa Levy Industrial Rugs is the brainchild of Lisa Levy, conceptual artist, art director and performer. (See Lisa's bio for more information.)

One day when Lisa was working as an art director, she was sent to a nuclear power plant to art direct a public relations photo shoot. True story, no kidding!! It was there that she discovered these rugs and realized how fun and durable they were and how great it would be for people to have them in their homes and offices. She tracked down the manufacturer, made a meeting and the rest is history. To Lisa this is a blank canvas that she has just discovered.

Bio

Lisa began making her mark at a young age in a performance of sorts, selling Studio 54 Reject T-shirts to the "rejects" standing outside of the famed nightclub. She's had a remarkable and diverse creative career that has involved almost every medium from advertising, visual arts, conceptual party planner, clothing and jewelry design, and performance. Some of her notable achievements besides Psychotherapy Live! range from winning $83,000 for having the winning concept in a national advertising contest to appearing on David Letterman's Stupid Pet Tricks with a hamster that bowled. Lisa has made numerous television appearances for a variety of the different projects she has created, including VH1, Naked New York, various news programs and a stint with a sandwich board on The Today Show.
